Situated in 3 Acres of land and surrounded by green fields, the brief was to create an open plan kitchen / living / dining space to maximise the views to the open countryside. The proposals look to retain the existing character of the property with a modern twist. Large dark grey expanses of glass reconnect the family space to the garden and fields beyond. The material pallet looks to enhance the warmth of the existing brick bungalow by introducing dark grey facias, cedar cladding and dark grey trim and glazing details.

The project doesn’t stop there. Proposals also look to create a new entrance and increasing the hallway to give views to the surroundings as soon as you walk through the door. The existing attached double garage looks to be converted into a new master bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom and dressing area attached. Finally a new detached garage will be developed as a second phase to the side of the property.
